Dr. Chinwe Okala

Dr. Chinwe Okala works with a multinational corporation on global and regional occupational and public health projects. She is currently based in Lagos Nigeria and has led community programs addressing tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, malaria and maternal child health, and global programs addressing COVID-19.

Previously, she has worked with the United Nations Development Fund for Women Regional Office for Anglophone West Africa (Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria) and the International Organization for Migration on various migration and gender related programs.

Chinwe is a Consultant Occupational Health Physician with membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) of the Royal College of Physicians of London UK and has a Fellowship of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. She has a Masters in Occupational Medicine from the University of Manchester UK and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Her primary medical education was at the University of Nigeria Nsukka. Chinwe also has post graduate qualifications in HIV/AIDS Management from the Africa Centre for HIV/AIDS Management, Stellenbosch University, Cape Town, South Africa.
